Compablocs Sucessfully Cleaned for Shell Canada SMC
NHE has sucessfully cleaned seven (7) Alfa Laval Compabloc Heat Exchangers for Shell Canada's Sarnia Manufacturing Centre. The units are condensers on the FCCU's Fractionation Column. Of the seven, four were Model CP-75-400, three were CP-75-500 (the last 3 digits denote number of plates).

A four step cleaning process was employed. Prior to disassembly, the water side was cleaned by circulating NHE's ULTRA-CLEAN DS to remove iron oxidation, calcium, mud, and bio-fouling. The side panels were removed, cleaned, vacuum-leak tested, and dye penetrant tested. The heat exchanger was then placed in our Enclosed Mobile Bundle Cleaner for the remaing three steps of cleaning. These proprietary steps were uniquely developed with help from Shell Canada's Calgary Research Centre.
